You are here now
A mantra chanted with a goal of unattainable perfection and realisation. You are here now is, arguably, a statement of undisputed truth. It locates one as an individual existing within temporal and physical states.
I’m a news headline.
I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. I’m a great place for you to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.
If excellence, market value and profile were set aside what else might be possible? What projects might emerge and where could art go?
The Festival of Uncertainty fosters art as an activity of radical uncertainty.
This is a platform for the entirely unachievable, non-viable projects and career death experiments. Art that slips by, that fails to eventuate, that lacks quality or craft, that is impossible to find, that plays out in isolation or in a social crowd, ideas, sketches, hopes, obsessions, all as simply a process of continued and unstoppable practice.
This programme is an expression of that which cannot be sold, reasserting disruption, risk, boredom and spontaneous collective action.
The Festival of Uncertainty is a zero-financial model.
No fees paid to artists. Organisers and administrators are not paid fees, all performances are free to the public.
Feasting House are a collective of independent artists who make contemporary live performance drawing on experimentation, community interaction and artistic rigour. Working across artform, they employ music, theatre & dance, site-specific principles, conceptual thinking & research, collaborating with like-minded artists and presenters. They aim to spotlight each of the associate artists, collectively supporting an individual approach.
Feasting House currently are – Stephen Bain, Joshua Rutter, Sean Curham, Nisha Madhan, Jeff Henderson.
